Greta Anthony
The best thing I ever did was to go to culinary school地nd it obviously has worked out well for me.
Biography
Greta Anthony was originally in the jewelry industry, but decided to change careers and became a student at ICE. For her externship, Greta chose Martha Stewart Living magazine and scored a number of firsts at the company, including being the first extern ever accepted in the test kitchen and becoming the first full-time food person for the television division. She and her fellow ICE alum Mark Ski, a segment producer, were honored with James Beard Awards in 2003 and 2005. Being a career changer was a key factor in her decision to come to ICE - I was changing careers and was impressed by the number of other students doing the same thing. A strong externship program was paramount for me, as I knew this would be a way to get my foot in the door so to speak. I have been producing culinary segments on national TV since I graduated in 1995. This has given me the opportunity on a daily basis to share what I learned in school with others, have learned since then, and the ability to further educate myself, as well as others, as to what's new and exciting in the culinary world. I've been very lucky!
